Casino night funds scholarships
David Kantrowitz, l-r, Brie Kaplan, Matthew Klein and Jessica Meyers play the tables at the Bruce Gould Celebrity Texas Hold ‘Em Tournament held at the Jewish Community Center of Greater Orlando’s Jack and Lee Rosen Southwest Campus. The tournament raised funds for the JCC’s Marvin Friedman Scholarship Fund, which helps send children in need to the JCC’s Early Childhood Learning Centers and summer camps.

Republican Women’s Network to meet March 26
The Dr. Phillips-Windermere Republican Women’s Network will hold its monthly meeting Friday, March 26, at 11 a.m. at Westerly’s restaurant in MetroWest Country Club. Women in the area with conservative interests are invited to join and participate in club activities. Every meeting includes a program on current issues and frequently a roundtable discussion. There’s a Speakers Corner that gives any candidate for office an opportunity to attend and give a short message about their campaign. Others with messages of interest to the group are also invited to the Speakers’ Corner.

Local Red Cross volunteers will provide information on how to prepare for an emergency or disaster on Saturday, March 13, at 2 p.m. at the Southwest Library. Learn how to build an emergency disaster kit, create a family communication plan and register for the safe and well program.
